No. The adjustment is applied inside your browser, so your image never leaves your device and nothing is stored on our servers.

What is contrast?

Contrast is the difference between the lightest and darkest parts of an image. Higher contrast makes lights lighter and darks darker, so the image looks bolder. Lower contrast pulls them together for a softer, flatter look.

What do the contrast values mean?

0 leaves the image unchanged. Positive values increase contrast, negative values decrease it, and -100 and 100 are the strongest settings.

Which file types can I use, and what do I get back?

You can add PNG, JPG, GIF and WebP images. The result is always downloaded as a PNG. For animated GIFs, only the first frame is used.

Why was my large image made smaller?

To keep your browser responsive, images longer than 4000 pixels on their longest side are scaled down before editing. The line under the preview shows the original and resized dimensions.

How do I compare the result with the original?

Press and hold the Compare button to show the original image, then let go to see your adjusted version again. On a keyboard, hold the Space or Enter key while the button is focused.
