DNS Propagation Checker

This tool allows you to check a wide range of DNS records against multiple DNS servers located around the world. It’s especially useful when you’ve recently made changes to your domain’s DNS settings and want to verify that those updates have been correctly propagated across different regions.

DNS changes do not take effect instantly everywhere. Instead, they gradually propagate as DNS servers update their cached records. By querying DNS servers in various global locations, this tool helps you see how your domain is being resolved in different parts of the world at any given time.

Currently, the tool supports viewing the following DNS record types: A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, NS, SOA, and TXT. These records control critical aspects of your domain, such as IP address mapping, email routing, domain authority, and verification settings.

If the DNS propagation process has completed successfully, you should see consistent results returned from all nameservers. Any discrepancies may indicate that propagation is still in progress or that there is a configuration issue that needs attention.

How to Use?

The DNS Propagation Checker is a great tool to check multiple servers around the world to see if DNS information has been updated correctly.

  1. To begin, just enter the domain name into the field above.
  2. Select which DNS record that you would like to view and click on 'Search'
  3. Information will be updated automatically in the table above showing which server has been checked.
  4. Sometimes a server might not return any information, for a number of reasons, such as unreachable when the request was made.
  5. Quite often it will take 24-48 hours for DNS records to propagate throughout the network.
