Is my image uploaded anywhere?

No. The cropping is done inside your browser, so your image never leaves your device and nothing is stored on our servers.

Does cropping reduce the image quality?

No. Cropping cuts out part of the picture without resampling it, so the pixels you keep are unchanged. Only if you save as JPG or WebP is a little compression applied, and PNG is lossless.

How do I crop to an exact size?

Pick a shape to lock the proportions, then drag the handles until the cropped size under the preview shows the pixels you need. The size shown is the size of the file you will download.

What happens to transparent areas?

PNG and WebP keep transparency. JPG does not support it, so transparent areas are filled with white when you save as JPG.

Can I rotate or flip the image as well?

Yes. Use the rotate buttons to turn it by 90 degrees and the flip buttons to mirror it. The crop is applied to the rotated or flipped picture. Reset puts everything back.

Which file types can I use?

You can add PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP, BMP, SVG and AVIF images up to 50 MB. For animated GIFs, only the first frame is used.
