Need to convert data between JSON and CSV formats? This tool makes it easy to transform structured JSON data into a CSV table or convert CSV data back into JSON, with results updating as you type. It's useful for working with APIs, preparing data for spreadsheets, transferring information between applications, or making datasets easier to read and analyse. Proper handling of commas, quotation marks, and line breaks within fields helps ensure your data is converted accurately.
Simply paste your JSON or CSV data to convert it into the other format and copy the result when you're ready. Everything is processed directly in your browser, with nothing sent to a server, keeping your data private and under your control.
Conversion happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
The JSON ↔ CSV converter works in both directions.
Conversion happens entirely in your browser.
Give it a JSON array of objects. The column headers are built from every key found across all the objects.
Fields containing a comma, quote or line break are automatically wrapped in quotes, with internal quotes doubled, so the CSV stays valid.
The CSV header row includes every key found across all objects, in the order they first appear. Any row missing a particular key gets an empty cell for that column.
A nested object or array is converted to a compact JSON string and placed in that cell, since CSV has no way to represent nested structure.
CSV has no concept of data types — every cell is just text. This tool keeps values as JSON strings on the way back, so you can convert them to numbers or booleans afterwards if you need to.
No. Both directions of conversion run locally in your browser.
