Open Graph / Social Share Preview

Want to control how your webpage looks when someone shares it on social media? This tool helps you create Open Graph meta tags and preview how your link might appear on platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and other social networks. Enter your page's title, description, image, and other details to see a live preview of your shared link and make adjustments before publishing.

Once you're happy with the result, copy the generated meta tags and add them to your webpage's HTML. Everything is generated directly in your browser, with nothing sent to a server, keeping your content private and under your control.

Good to know

Nothing is uploaded

Everything is generated in your browser as you type.

Image size matters

A 1200 × 630 pixel image (roughly 1.91:1) works well across Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter/X's large-image card.

Caches can be stubborn

Social networks cache a page's preview. After changing your tags, use that network's own sharing debug tool to force it to re-scrape the page.

Frequently asked questions

What is Open Graph?

It's a set of meta tags, originally created by Facebook, that tells social networks what title, description and image to show when a page is shared. Most major platforms support it.

Do I need the Twitter/X card tags too?

Twitter/X reads its own twitter:* tags first and falls back to Open Graph tags if they're missing, so including both gives the most reliable result there.

Why doesn't my change show up when I share the link?

Most social networks cache the preview for a page the first time it's shared. Use that network's sharing debug or inspection tool (for example Facebook's Sharing Debugger) to clear the cache and re-fetch it.

Is my information uploaded anywhere?

No. The tags and preview are generated entirely in your browser.
