Image Resizer

Need to resize an image for a website, social media post, or other project? This tool makes it easy to adjust an image to exact pixel dimensions or scale it by a percentage. You can lock the aspect ratio to preserve the original proportions and prevent stretching or distortion, giving you control over the final dimensions while maintaining the image's appearance.

Simply load your image, enter your desired width and height or choose a scaling percentage, then download the resized result. All processing takes place on your own device, with no images uploaded to a server, keeping your files private and under your control.

Accepted files: .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .gif and .webp

Good to know

Nothing is uploaded

Resizing happens in your browser — your image never leaves your device.

Lock prevents stretching

With the lock closed, the other dimension is calculated automatically to keep the original proportions.

Enlarging has limits

Scaling an image up beyond its original size can make it look soft or blurry, since no new detail is created.

Frequently asked questions

Will resizing reduce image quality?

Making an image smaller is generally safe and often produces a sharper-looking result. Making it larger than the original can introduce softness, since the tool has to estimate new pixels that weren't in the original.

What file type do I get back?

The resized image downloads as a PNG, which preserves transparency and gives a lossless result regardless of the original format.

What does the lock icon do?

When locked, changing the width automatically updates the height (and vice versa) to keep the image's original proportions. Unlock it to set both dimensions independently, which can stretch or squash the image.

Is my image uploaded anywhere?

No. Resizing happens entirely in your browser using the Canvas API, and the file is never sent to a server.
